Amazon Frogbit grows in soft and freshwater with a pH range of 6.0 – 7.5 with moderate light. Generally the plant is native to South & Central America.

This plant is a floating plant, there is no need to continually add CO₂ to the aquarium; you will however need to add fertilizer to the water on a regular basis especially when you perform water changes.

In most aquariums, the reproduction of the plants usually occurs through stem fragmentation. Through this process, smaller plants grow from the main plant and will also grow to form full new plants. Care should therefore be taken so as not to allow too many plants to grow, as this will block/reduce light required for submerged plants. The plants will multiply quickly in ideal conditions.
