Ramon Ortega was born in the Republic of Honduras in 1923 where he started his art training at a very early age at the School of Fine Arts.
Since childhood, his love for animals has developed in the desire of portraying them in their natural habitat.
He finds painting nearly extinct species a tremendous source of inspiration and his work reflects his love for animals.
The artist whom he most admires is the master, Picasso.
Ramon traveled a great deal to countries such as Africa and India to study the World of Animals that he loved.
