DESCRIPTION

An early edition of the English language edition of this work, translated from the original Dutch. This is the first edition of this work under this title. The work was previously published under the title 'The Triumph-Royal' in 1692.

The author of this work is not added to the title page, ESTC notes the author as J Beek.

With forty four plates of the original sixty two. Lacking 18 plates. This copy is also lacking pages 9-12, 15-16, 25-29 and 33-44.

This work contains illustrations of certain events during William III's reign, with a corresponding leaf of text facing the image. Events discussed include the Siege of Groll and The Prince of Orange's restoration to the throne.


CONDITION

In a full calf binding. Rebacked with the original boards preserved. Patches of rubbing to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are slightly age toned to the edges. Scattered spots to pages, heavier to the first and last few pages.
