This is the sixth edition of this English translation. Voltaire was a popular Enlightenment writer, historian and philosopher famous for his wit and attacks on Christianity.


CONDITION

In a full calf binding. Rebacked with the original boards preserved. Some repairs to the boards at edges. A few light marks to the boards. Small tidemark to the outer edge of front board. Repairs to the hinges. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are slightly age toned to edges. Occasional scattered spots to pages.
