Service Procedure

1.

With the key in the ON position, move the transmission shift lever to engage each transmission detent position (P, R, N, O/D, D, 2, 1).

If one or more transmission detent positions cannot be obtained (no shift indicator light) proceed to Shift Cable Adjustment Procedure below.

2.

Place the transmission lever in PARK, turn the key to the lock position and raise the vehicle on a hoist.

3.

Verify that the lock button is in the locked position as when in Figure 1.

4.

Install the clip to cover the lock button as shown in Figure 2

We will accept returns within the 30 days and, as long as the part shows no sign of being installed, issue a refund less shipping and any fees we may have occurred. The item has to be returned in the same condition and with the same package as was sent to you. If it shows sign of installation, the package has been damaged, or there is any other cause for the item to not be considered new, we will either refuse to issue a refund or issue a partial refund.

If shipping seems a little high to you it is because we do many things to try to have your purchase reach you safely. We will do one or multiples of the following: place item in a plastic bag, sandwich bag between 2 pieces of cardboard, bubble wrap, cushioning material, use a bubble envelope or a box that is larger than necessary to try to protect item during shipping.
