Here's the 1990 Ponchatoula Strawberry Festival Maroon Aluminum Souvenir Doubloon.  The doubloon measures 39mm or 1 1/2" in diameter and is in Excellent Condition.   Payment due within 48 hours of purchase.   Note:  The obverse features "Old Hard Hide" the Mascot of Ponchatoula.  The reverse features a Glimpse of the Annual Strawberry Parade through Downtown Ponchatoula and reads "WELCOME TO THE STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL...1990."  Ponchatoula, LA is the Strawberry Capital of Louisiana.  The town has hosted an annual Strawberry Festival every April since 1971.  On Saturday morning of the Festival Weekend, the Strawberry Festival Parade proceeds through downtown Ponchatoula with Truck Riders tossing Candy, Cups, Beads and Strawberry Festival Doubloons to eager parade spectators. Great Piece of Ponchatoula Strawberry Festival Memorabilia!  (Unless specifically described as 'toning' and Gold, Green, Purple or Blue Hues seen on any item are the reflection of a Mardi Gras Banner which hangs above my desk.)
