Here's the 1980 Anheuser-Busch Budweiser Clydesdales Plain Aluminum Doubloon.  The doubloon measures 39mm or 1 1/2" in diameter and is in Excellent Condition.   Payment due within 48 hours of purchase.   Note:  The obverse features the Anheuser-Busch Logo and the Budweiser Clydesdales and reads "ANHEUSER-BUSCH...FAMOUS BUDWEISER CLYDESDALES."  The reverse features the Masks of Comedy and Tragedy Surrounded by Two Anheuser-Busch Logos in Festive Mardi Gras Design and reads "MARDI GRAS...NEW ORLEANS...1980."  A longstanding Mardi Gras Tradition has been the appearance of the Budweiser Clydesdales pulling the Budweiser Beer Wagon with the Dalmation by the Driver's Side.  In 1968, Anheuser-Busch issued its first doubloons during appearances in various parades in the New Orleans Area during that Carnival Season.  Typically, Six to Eight People will ride on the Beer Wagon and occasionally toss one of the Anheuser-Busch doubloons to an eager Parade Spectator.  This doubloon was issued during the 1980 Carnival Season in New Orleans.  Much nicer than it appears in the photos.  Great Piece of Anheuser-Busch, Budweiser Clydesdales and Mardi Gras Memorabilia!  (Unless specifically described as 'toning' and Gold, Green, Purple or Blue Hues seen on any item are the reflection of a Mardi Gras Banner which hangs above my desk.)
