Right-hand (passenger side) brake shoe and hardware kit for Dexter 12,000 lb and 15,000 lb hydraulic trailer brake assemblies. Designed for 12-1/4" x 5" hydraulic drum systems commonly identified as 9-28 assemblies. This kit services one wheel position only.

Fits cast hydraulic backing plates manufactured April 2000 and newer. Designed for heavy-duty hydraulic drum brake systems used on equipment, flatbed, gooseneck, and commercial trailer applications.

Function Overview

In hydraulic drum brake systems, the primary and secondary shoes expand against the inner surface of the brake drum when hydraulic pressure is applied. The correct orientation of the shoes is critical for proper braking performance. This right-hand kit is engineered specifically for the passenger side of the axle.

Brake shoe kits are side-specific and must match the orientation of the backing plate. The primary and secondary shoes are positioned differently on left and right assemblies and cannot be interchanged. Hydraulic cast backing plates differ from electric brake assemblies and are not cross-compatible. Always confirm brake size (12-1/4" x 5"), drum identification (9-28), and axle rating before ordering replacement components.
