Every ordinary brush has the same weakness: the bristles are stapled into drilled holes, which means seams, gaps, and somewhere for residue to sit where you can't see it or reach it. It also means bristles eventually work loose. In a bakery or a ready-to-eat line, a lost bristle is a product recall.
Ultra Safe Technology solves that at the moulding stage. The bristle units are fused directly onto the block, so there are no drilled holes, no staples and no seams — nothing to trap residue and dramatically better bristle retention than a conventional brush. The units are spaced apart, which means you can actually see whether the brush is clean, and it dries properly instead of staying damp in the middle. For anyone working to BRC or an HACCP plan, that's the difference between a tool that passes inspection and one that raises questions.
This is the soft grade at 30 mm — a detail brush for dry work in sensitive areas, particularly where allergen cross-contact is the concern. Vikan also specify it as a pastry and glazing brush, and it's a serious upgrade on the usual kitchen alternatives: no shedding into the egg wash, food-contact certified, and it goes through the dishwasher at 93 °C or an autoclave at 121 °C between uses.
