1997 Glow Zone AFL Footy Oddbodz In Hypervision Caricature Card Base Set (57) ( No box or pack included)

This AFL Card set was released by Glow Zone in 1997- the second series of AFL Oddbodz trading cards released by Glow Zone.

The card release was in sealed packs form, 48 packs in the box, 7 cards in This each pack. Each card has a Glow in The Dark element.

Unlike the first series of 1996 AFL Oddbodz where the cards are in standard card shape, the 1997 AFL Oddbodz cards are in Die Cut shape, and the card size is smaller than the standard cards. The 1997 AFL Oddbodz card is about 70mm high x 50mm wide.

The complete card set is 57 cards in the caricature style. Each card has 3 versions: Base, “HOT” and PINK.  “HOT” and PINK version are randomly inserted into packs.

All 3 versions of cards are identical picture cards, EXCEPT THAT:

Each “HOT” Parallel card has a word “HOT” printed on the card;

Each PINK Parallel card has a PINK Glow In The Dark element on the card.

In all 3 versions, BASE is the easiest and Pink is the rarest.

The card even distribution among the packs of this series is very poor. Despite 48 packs in the box and the set is only 57 cards, one box does not guarantee one 57-base card set, and duplicates of some players cards in one box happened quite often. It happens that some players can appear in one box more than 10 times.

This un-even distribution of the cards caused the shortage of the complete 57-card set.
