This is a modern (1981 ABNC Certification) proof print by the American Bank Note Company of:

$50.00 Obsolete note from the Bank of Selma, Alabama. This bank operated from 1859 to 1868. This note is the only ABNC design using a portrait of Jefferson Davis. The portrait was made when he was Secretary of War under President Franklin Pierce.

This print is made with the original steel engraved plate from the archives of ABNC. The print is of the face only, but in the original color and is in supurb proof condition.
