Kevlar is the registered trademark for a para-aramid synthetic fibre, which is a class of heat-resistant and strong synthetic fibres. They are used in aerospace and military applications, for ballistic rated body armour fabric and ballistic composites, and as an asbestos substitute.

Currently, Kevlar has many applications, ranging from bicycle tyres and racing sails to body armour because of its high tensile strength-to-weight ratio; by this measure it is 5 times stronger than steel on an equal weight basis.

When used as a woven material, it is suitable any application where unsurpassed strength and durability are required.

Description:

            These stylish, excellent quality almost indestructable, (due to the Kevlar panels) padded gloves are full or 3/4 fingered and suitable for wheelchair and crutch users alike. These are the toughest (but flexible) gloves we sell.

They have a velcro wrist closure for adjustment and comfort.

They have a Kevlar padded area on the palm, and Kevlar reinforcement along the thumb and running up the length of the forefinger. This padding helps protect against numbness, blisters and soreness and are double stitched for strength and durability.

They are breathable through imitation suede leather to the fingers and elastine lycra to the back and large sweat-wipe panel on the back of the thumb. They are lightweight and quick drying.

They are brand new and packed in a grip seal bag.
