We are proud to offer an awesome set of four French miniature books "PAROISSIEN" with original fitted box.
Leather bound, dated 1910 inside the books, 1912 on embossed leather covers. Beautiful gilt page edges, all intact. Each has its own individual classical illustration in the front and reads PAROISSIEN. The books are in excellent condition, all with tight bindings and pages. One book has a couple of bent pages in the very front, the other three are excellent.
The leather covers of this set of books is in excellent condition. The gilt lettering on the outside spine of the cover is worn on three of the books with only one being entirely legible, however, each book has "Juliette" in gilt script on the front of each cover and this is in beautiful condition. The original fitted box is intact, opens and closes correctly although it is in worn condition (see photos).
This lovely set of books was purchased in France and is written in French. Each book measures 4 5/8" long, 3" wide and 1" deep. The fitted box measures 5 1/4" long, 5" wide and 3 1/2" high. The embossed brass closure is original. I believe the books are original editions.
I am not a book collector and purchased this set of books on a buying trip to France simply because they were so beautiful.
