This is an antique black and white postcard of Soerabaia (= Surabaya), Java, Indonesia with an undivided back. It shows a beautiful view of the Reede (= Quay) with the entrance of the Marine Bassin with a lof of Ships. This postcard was published by J.M. Chs. Nijland, Soerabaia in about 1899. So it is more than one HUNDRED and 10 years OLD. This postcard was favourcancelled in 1910. The 1 cent stamp is still attached on its front side Cancel: SOERABAJA. However little stains they do not affect the picture (see scan) and it is still a great collectable. Condition: good. This postcard should be in every Javanese or Indonesian collection.
