The Pagani Design model 1701 is a rugged 138g multi-functional Moonwatch styled cosmograph with chronometer, tachymeter and a military 24hr time subdial. A 40mm x 14mm x 48mm brushed solid 316L stainless steel case with polished beveled edges supports a fixed polished stainless steel bezel with a ceramic blue tachymeter insert that is integrated with a stepped slightly domed scratch resistant sapphire crystal lens with anti-reflective coating. The frosted silver dial is encircled by a black subsecond outer scale with applied Super Luminova yellow baton markers set at 5 minute intervals. The hour and minute are indicated by Luminova filled black edged sword shaped hands and the seconds are displayed on a recessed silver sunray subdial with a black hand and scale at 6 o'clock. The running seconds of the chronometer are tracked on the outer scale by a central thin blue arrow shaped hand with a Luminova filled tip while elapsed minutes are captured by a blue rocket shaped hand on a recessed subdial at 9 o'clock. The rocket on the subdial at 3 o'clock marks the current hour in military 24 hour time. The case is enclosed by a stainless steel caseback ornately embossed with a spaceship and moon surface theme. The screwdown design of the caseback, crown and chronometer pushbuttons creates excellent water resistance rated to a depth of 100 meters (10 ATM) providing sufficient protection for everyday activities including swimming. The watch is complimented with a 220mm (8.66in) brushed 316L stainless steel 3 link bracelet that can be adjusted using 8 removable links with screw pins to comfortably fit most wrists. Two polished spacers are placed on the inner edges of the outer links of the bracelet to provide continuity with the polished edges of the case and the bracelet is secured by a milled stainless steel twin button folding clasp with 3 micro adjustment positions and a Pagani Design logo engraving. The timepiece is powered by a high quality Japanese Seiko caliber VK63 hybrid mechaquartz movement that combines the multi functionality of a mechanical watch with the accuracy and reliability of a quartz regulated movemenent that doesn't require winding. The Vk63 caliber has a 3 year battery life expectancy and +/-20 seconds per month accuracy. The movement includes a chronometer complication that is able to accurately record up to 59 minutes and 59 seconds using the start/stop pushbutton above the crown and the reset button below the crown. The movement also has a separate 24 hour military time regulator and incorporates a stop-second device which freezes the secondhand when setting the time for precise adjustment to the exact second.
