This Peek Frean kingfisher biscuit tin was produced between the late 1940s and the mid-1950s. During this post-WWII era, Peek Frean released a highly popular series of nature-themed, embossed round tins featuring British wildlife, including this distinctive blue kingfisher searching a pond. The tin is at least 70 years old (probably made between 1940-55) and has the signs to prove it, the tin has moderate surface scratching, minor oxidation/rust spots, and typical shelf wear. The graphic has noticeable wearbut it does not stop this being a stunning old tin.
