Vintage chalkware groom figure for a wedding cake topper, made by Marblelike Novelty Co. The back of the base is embossed "Copyright 193_ Marblelike Novelty Co." The last digit of the year is hard to read.

The groom wears a black tailcoat with a white vest, shirt and bow tie, and white gloves. He has painted brown hair and facial features, and stands on a small oval base.

Condition:

• Paint chips and flaking throughout, mostly on the back of the coat
• Small chip at the front edge of the base
• Fine crazing or cracks in the paint on the back of the legs near the base
• Face and gloves are in nice shape
