Niue Island 2026 – Rainbow Toucan 2 oz Silver HR is the fourth coin in the “Representatives of the Species” series, created in cooperation between the Mennica Polska and Germania Mint. This year’s issue is dedicated to one of the most distinctive and spectacular representatives of the exotic bird world – the toucan. It is one of the most recognizable tropical birds, inhabiting primarily the forests of Central and South America. The toucan is distinguished by its characteristic, large and often brightly colored bill, as well as its striking plumage, making it one of the symbols of exotic tropical wildlife.
Niue Island 2026 – Rainbow Toucan 2 oz Silver HR will be issued in a limited mintage of 300 pieces. Each coin will be accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity and presented in dedicated, custom-designed packaging.
A distinctive feature of the series is its unique, fully eco-friendly packaging made of cardboard, paper, wood and linen.
The obverse
The central element of the obverse is a colorful toucan perched on a branch. The bird is depicted in a natural pose, with great attention to its characteristic proportions and anatomical details. Particular attention is drawn to its impressive bill, whose vivid colors create a striking rainbow-like transition.
The rich coloration of the obverse is one of the issue’s greatest visual highlights. A combination of vivid, saturated colors contrasts beautifully with the silvery, matte background of the coin, making the bird’s silhouette stand out clearly. The multicolored finish accentuates both the bill and individual elements of the plumage, giving the composition exceptional depth and a sense of three-dimensionality.
The reverse
The reverse of the coin is dedicated to the issuer, Niue. At its center is the coat of arms of Niue, surrounded by a composition of exotic leaves. The botanical ornamentation creates a decorative frame around the coat of arms while simultaneously referring to the natural and wildlife theme of the entire issue.
