Here is a rare Polish doll from the A.S.K. company that I have relist as buy it now due to the previous action winner failing to pay! I think this doll was made in the early 1900's, but definately before WW2 because the company name changed after 1939. The A.S.K. inside a triangle mark found on vintage Polish dolls represents Adam Szrajer of Kalisz. He was the owner of a prominent Celluloid Toy Factory in Kalisz, Poland, which produced these highly collectible dolls primarily during the 1920s, 1930s. I think that the doll is complete, though it might have had a hat? The body and legs are stuffed tightly. The head and shoulders are 1 piece of celluloid. The arms are also celluloid. Both have become detached at the shoulder joint but are stopped from falling by the sleeves of the shirt. The clothes are grubby and I have not tried to clean them at all. The red tie has a couple of nibbles out of it but the rest of the clotbing looks in good condition. There are some marks and a small dent on the back of the head. Please view all photos carefully for condition.
