The inscription appears to commemorate a third-place handicap award to T. Towse at a 25-mile cycling event associated with Clumber, Nottinghamshire, on 30 August 1953.
The identity of the organising club, abbreviated H & E.R.R.C., has not been conclusively established.
Diameter: Approximately 29mm, excluding suspension ring.
Condition: Good vintage condition overall, with light surface wear, minor marks and some age-related tarnishing. The suspension ring is present. Please study the photographs carefully as these form an important part of the description.
An interesting named and dated example of 1950s British cycling memorabilia, suitable for collectors of vintage cycling medals, sporting awards and time-trial history.
