For vintage Casio collectors, the appeal of the DBJ-21 goes beyond the time display. It combines a telephone directory with customizable little faces, birthday-based luck and compatibility displays, and a “Rolling Eyes” game. It’s the kind of curious wrist-sized gadget that makes collecting older digital watches fun.

The expressive LCD portrait is the main attraction, framed by turquoise lettering, a red mode button, and contrasting grey buttons.

With vintage resin watches, condition matters as much as the model itself. Cases, strap attachments, buttons, and screw mounting points have all aged over the years. The watch is running. Other functions operate normally during the seller’s testing, apart from the sound issue below.

• Extremely faint sound: Sound is present, but you must hold the watch directly against your ear to hear it. It is not audible at normal wearing distance.
• Loose lower-left caseback screw: This screw is loose. The screw or case threads may be stripped; the exact cause has not been confirmed.
• Non-original strap: The fitted strap is a replacement.
• Visible wear: The crystal, case, and caseback show scratches and signs of use. Please examine all photos carefully.

VINTAGE RESIN — HANDLE WITH CARE

Resin and plastic components can become brittle with age, even when they still look presentable. Their remaining strength and lifespan cannot be guaranteed. Handle the case and strap attachments gently, and avoid overtightening the caseback screws, particularly at the disclosed loose mounting point.
