Up for bid is a rare and vintage 0.97" Atmosphere handmade glass marble. This one-of-a-kind marble was most likely handmade by one of the artisans in the Arts and Crafts Village in Tlaquepaque, Jalisco, Mexico and probably sometime between 1996 and 1997. Although they were sold by Mega Marbles in Toys-R-Us stores, not many were sold and not for a great period of time making them quite rare and collectible. All the Atmospheres are different in style, but this particular one is interesting because it sort of looks like a large Christensen Cyclone. The marble has crystal clear glass with twisting waves of yellow and white. There are two small very shallow cold rolled seams on the surface and a couple small as-made internal cooling fractures inside with do not extend to the surface and do not distract from viewing the marble. There are also a few small white chucks of what look like moon rocks floating inside. Otherwise the marble is in mint condition. With a low starting bid, this could be your chance to add a nice Atmosphere marble to your collection.
