Description:
One late 19th to early 20th century French school oil painting on the subject of the Greek myth Ariadne helping Theseus slaying Minotaur. This painting appears to be an unfinished study. Artist unknown. Came in a hardwood frame, added by the last owner. According to the information/label preserved on the back, the painting likely passed through Framing artisan Denis Guenet of Niort in the 1970s.

The sight size is about 15.75"x12.75"; The frame is about 20"x17".
