Up for sale is a beautiful, matching pair of Vintage Mid-Century Norwegian Hand-Painted Souvenir Wooden Wall Plates. Crafted between the 1950s and 1970s, these folk-art plates feature scenic, stylized illustrations of Norway's iconic coastlines, fjords, and mountains under vibrant skies.

What makes this pair highly collectible is that the cursive text painted on the upper borders forms a continuous, famous stanza from Norway's National Anthem (Ja, vi elsker dette landet):

• Plate 1: "Furet værbitt over vannet..." (Furrowed, weather-beaten above the water...)

• Plate 2: "...som det stiger frem" (...as it rises forth)

Both plates feature a glossy protective finish on the front, clean natural wood backs, and are ready for display on a wall, mantel, or plate stand. Perfect for anyone looking to celebrate their Scandinavian or Norwegian heritage!
