The HIKCam A7E contains an internal rechargeable 18650 lithium-ion battery. Unlike HIKMICRO products that use removable 18650 batteries, the A7E battery is built into the camera and does not need to be removed for charging.

The A7E is charged directly through its USB Type-C interface using the supplied Type-C cable. Because the 18650 battery is built into the camera, HIKMICRO's separate removable 18650 batteries and external 18650 charger are not required for the A7E.

The HIKCam A7E records in up to 4K resolution at 60 frames per second, providing detailed footage suitable for reviewing shots, analysing technique or simply recording a day in the field.

Alternative recording modes provide higher frame rates at lower resolutions, including 2.7K and 1080p recording at up to 120fps. Video can be encoded using H.265 or H.264 and is saved in MP4 format.

The A7E's recoil-activated recording system is designed to capture the important moment automatically rather than requiring you to manually start recording before every shot.

Dedicated recording modes are provided for clay targets, small game, big game and paper targets, with different pre-record and post-record timings suited to each type of shooting. A custom mode is also available for creating your own recording setup.

The HIKCam A7E provides digital magnification from 2× to 8×, allowing the view to be adjusted for different shooting scenarios.

Footage can also be reviewed using selectable playback speeds of 1×, 0.6×, 0.3× and 0.2×. This makes it particularly useful for reviewing clay shooting and analysing movement, lead and shot placement in greater detail.

Built-in Wi-Fi allows the HIKCam A7E to connect with the HIKMICRO Sight app on a compatible smartphone or tablet.

The app can be uséd to view live footage, access recordings, adjust settings and transfer footage wirelessly. HIKMICRO specifies a Wi-Fi download speed of up to 6MB/s.

This Bamfords package includes the genuine HIKMICRO 21.5–26mm HIKCam barrel mount, allowing the A7E to be securely attached to compatible tubes with an outside diameter between 21.5mm and 26mm.
