ORIGINAL 1963 EAGLE/SWIFT – WALLET OF SOCCER STARS
A superb original Eagle/Swift Wallet of Soccer Stars dating from 1963, complete with 12 original footballer cards arranged in three uncut strips of four.
This wonderful piece of British football memorabilia was produced during the merger of the famous Swift and Eagle comics.
The original wallet was presented with the 9 March 1963 edition of Eagle and Swift and features Ray Pointer of Burnley in action on the front, with a dramatic image of Peter Bonetti of Chelsea on the reverse.

It’s a fantastic selection of early-1960s footballing greats, with particularly collectable appearances from Sir Bobby Charlton, Denis Law and Jimmy Greaves.

The complete original series consisted of 16 players.
This example contains 12 of the 16 cards, so four are absent and the collection is not complete.
The surviving cards remain together in their original four-player strips rather than having been individually separated.
The original Eagle/Swift presentation wallet is also included, making this a particularly attractive period collection.
CONDITION
A genuine original football collectible now more than 60 years old.
The wallet displays well but naturally shows age-related wear, creasing, rubbing, marks, discolouration and wear around the edges and folds.
The three card strips remain colourful and highly presentable, with some expected age-related handling and storage wear.
No attempt has been made to grade the individual cards.
