Up for auction/sale is a beautiful vintage Japanese battery-operated tin and plastic toy car resembling a 1909 Ford Model T Touring Car. This classic "Old Timer" replica features fantastic visual details and makes an excellent display piece for any antique toy collection.
Condition Notes (Please Read Before Bidding/Buying):
• Cosmetics: The upper body is in very good vintage condition. The black tin finish, bright red plastic bench seats, gold-tone radiator grille, side lanterns, and detailed dashboard lithograph are crisp and clean with only minor scuffs from age.
• Completeness: The toy is missing the original plastic driver figure that sits in the front seat.
• Mechanics/Battery Box: The battery compartment on the underside shows significant rust and corrosion from old battery leakage (see photos). Because of this, the toy is being sold UNTESTED / AS-IS for parts, restoration, or static display. The front hand-crank functions as the On/Off switch, and the wheels spin freely by hand.
