2012 Kia Picanto Halo Automatic – 81,859 Miles

Lovely little Kia Picanto Halo with the automatic gearbox, which is quite a rare combination, especially with this level of spec.

It’s covered just 81,859 miles and has been my daughter’s first car for the last 3 years. It’s been absolutely brilliant for her and, most importantly, ultra reliable throughout her ownership.

Being the Halo edition, it’s very well equipped for a small car, including:

• Automatic gearbox
• Heated front seats
• Heated steering wheel
• Front & rear parking sensors
• LED lights
• High-spec Halo interior and trim

It was serviced around 4 months ago and has an MOT until April 2027, so it’s ready to get in and use.

For a 2012 car it’s in very clean overall condition. There are, of course, a few age-related marks and some areas of paint discolouration, which I’d rather mention upfront than pretend a 14-year-old car is perfect. Nothing that has ever bothered us or taken away from what has been a genuinely great little car.

It’s cheap to run, easy to drive and park, and the automatic gearbox makes it particularly easy around town. It would make an ideal first car, commuter or runaround for someone wanting something small, reliable and unusually well specced.

Only selling as my daughter has now moved on to another car after 3 years of very happy ownership.

Unfortunately, there is a known tactic when selling cars privately where one person keeps the seller distracted while somebody else interferes with the vehicle or engine bay, then suddenly a “fault” appears and an attempt is made to negotiate the price down. I’m not suggesting every group of buyers has bad intentions, but I have no interest in putting myself in that position, so group viewings will simply not be accommodated.
