TASCAM DP-02CF Digital Multitrack Recorder MTR CompactFlash 8 Track
TASCAM DP-02CF multitrack recorder, a discontinued digital MTR that records to CompactFlash and is handled like an analogue tape machine. Dropping the internal hard disk and the CD-RW drive in favour of a CF card makes it light, compact and quiet. Each track has its own fader and knob, so levels and tone are set the way a mixer is handled. It plays back up to eight tracks and records two at once, and a USB port lets audio be moved to a computer for editing in a DAW or for exchanging WAV files. The seller checked it with their own CF card: inputs A and B were normal, tracks 1 to 8 were normal with no scratchy pots, the equaliser was normal, the master was normal, the display was normal, and writing, reading and formatting of the CompactFlash card were normal, so it was fully working at the time of the check. When the CF slot lid is opened all the way it becomes stiff and hard to close, which may or may not be by design; it can be swapped without opening the lid fully. The body, an AC adapter and an AC cord are included. A card is not included. It will be sent in a recycled carton with air packing.
