It is a round glass panel with a secure metal rim and a high definition laser generated image of the HELM OF AWE in the center that looks like stained glass. It is not leaded glass. The detail is beautiful and the colors are vibrant. There is enough light going through it to make it almost 3D. I have had one hanging in the sun for over 6 months with no fading. The surface is coated with a UV protective clear coat. Around the perimeter are all the norse RUNE SYMBOLS.
