This is a vintage 2 piece set in EUC. Rare and hard to find. The sport coat is a size 42. The pants are unmarked. They have an inseam that measures about 29” and the waist Mayo by flat is about 17.5”.

From our research:

A flat measurement of 17.5 inches means the pants have a 35-inch waist (17.5" x 2). This is a highly proportionate match for a size 42 jacket. In 1970s menswear tailoring, a size 42 jacket was traditionally paired with a 36-inch pant waist. However, because vintage clothing often shrinks slightly over time from washing or has been custom-tailored by its original owner, a true 35-inch waist is very common and will give you a slightly more fitted look through the midsection.

We put measurements of both pieces in the pictures. The sport coat does have about a 6” area of the inside lining that has separated at the seam. In addition the cuff buttons on both sleeves are missing the top piece like the other buttons. We would just recommend replacing them with two similar buttons. This is hidden when worn and can easily be sewn since it is the seam. Please see attached pictures for overall measurements and condition.
