[Used] Fender USA / American Vintage '62 Precision Bass, 2003 model, 3-Color Sunburst
We have received a Precision Bass from the American Vintage series.
The American Vintage series—produced from 1982 to 2018 as a premium offering above the standard models—can be considered the predecessor to the current American Original series.
The instrument that has arrived is a 2003 model designed to replicate 1962 specifications.
It features an alder body finished in 3-Color Sunburst, a maple neck with a 7.25-inch radius rosewood fingerboard, a "spaghetti" headstock logo, a tortoise-shell pattern pickguard, spiral bridge saddles, and a '62 P-Bass Split Single-Coil pickup; it is a model that prioritizes authenticity not only in appearance but also in detailed specifications and sound.
The body and neck show numerous areas of finish wear and sanding marks resulting from "self-relicing," along with scattered scratches and dings from use, and the hardware exhibits some dulling.
The fingerboard has been leveled, and the nut and frets have been replaced; the original hard case is missing.
Although there are signs of use, the instrument has undergone maintenance and cleaning at our repair center and offers excellent playability.
