Original 1987 Vixen Motor Company promotional and press material for the unusual Vixen 21 luxury motorhome, manufactured in Pontiac, Michigan. This group includes the large-format color Vixen 21 factory sales brochure, an original May 4, 1987 two-page Vixen Motor Company news release announcing the 1988 Vixen XC, a Vixen Motor Company prospective-owner letter signed in facsimile by Vice President of Sales R. A. Will, and the original mailing envelope.

The illustrated brochure presents the Vixen 21 as “The new dimension in grand touring” and includes extensive period photography of the exterior and interior, technical specifications, floor plan/interior features, BMW turbocharged inline-six diesel powertrain information, aerodynamic design discussion, fuel-economy claims, and the Vixen's participation in the One Lap of America rally. The brochure carries an April 27, 1987 printing notation.

Especially noteworthy is the accompanying May 4, 1987 press release, which formally introduces the upcoming 1988 Vixen XC as the company's “next generation” recreational vehicle. The release describes its equipment, specifications, development and $34,990 base MSRP and quotes Vixen president Gerald S. Bryce. Together, these pieces form an unusually cohesive piece of original factory literature documenting the company's brief production period.

Vixen produced only about 587 motorhomes between 1986 and 1989, giving surviving original promotional material a strong niche following among Vixen owners, BMW enthusiasts, RV historians and automotive-literature collectors.
