Vintage B Ltd 50 Micron 9ct Rolled Gold Engraved Hinged Bangle
A particularly attractive vintage 9ct rolled gold hinged bangle, with extensive floral and foliate engraving and attractive twisted rope-style borders.
The broad decorative front features scrolling leaves and flowers against a finely textured ground, giving the bangle considerably more character than a plain rolled-gold example.

The 50 MICRON 9CT RG mark indicates a substantial 50-micron 9ct rolled-gold covering. This is a rolled-gold piece and should not be confused with solid 9ct gold.
The bangle has an unusual and very effective original interlocking fastening. One side is lifted slightly to locate into a cut retaining groove on the opposing side, where the small raised catch holds the two halves securely together.
The fastening operates correctly and holds securely. This is the intended original fastening arrangement and is not a missing or damaged conventional tongue-and-box clasp.
There is no safety chain fitted.
