Here is a very rare new facsimile publication by a man who influenced Pastor Russell and who is quoted several times in Watchtower publications. He is Joseph Seiss, who also wrote "Miracle in Stone" in 1877.  However before that book he wrote others such as this one in 1863 "LAST TIMES AND THE GREAT CONSUMMATION" [438 pages]  This book is about the end times, gentile times, Christ's return and so forth. The following is a portion of what the Watchtower Society has written about Joseph Seiss and his books :

 What Bible Scholars Have Said
Many Bible scholars maintain that under Christ’s Kingdom, earth will become a paradise. Said theologian Joseph A. Seiss: “The whole earth under the Messiah must then ultimately become . . . what it . . . would have been if Adam had never sinned.” [May 8, 2008 Awake.]

In 1844, a British clergyman, E. B. Elliott, drew attention to 1914 as a possible date for the end of the “seven times” of Daniel chapter 4. In 1849, Robert Seeley, of London, dealt with the subject in like manner. Joseph Seiss, of the United States, pointed to 1914 as a significant date in Bible chronology in a publication edited about 1870. [11/8 1994 Awake. And "Proclaimers of God's kingdom".]

The Watch Tower, July 15, 1906, p. 229.
Neither Barbour nor Russell was the first to explain the Lord’s return as an invisible presence. Much earlier, Sir Isaac Newton (1642-1727) had written that Christ would return and reign “invisible to mortals.” In 1856, Joseph Seiss, a Lutheran minister in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, had written about a two-stage second advent—an invisible pa·rou·si′a, or presence, followed by a visible manifestation. Then, in 1864, Benjamin Wilson had published his Emphatic Diaglott with the interlinear reading “presence,” not “coming,” for pa·rou·si′a, and B. W. Keith, an associate of Barbour, had drawn it to the attention of Barbour and his associates.[ "Proclaimers " book Chp. 5]
