Canon TX, a 35mm single-lens reflex (SLR) film camera.

Key Features

Introduced in March 1975, the Canon TX was designed as a "stripped-down" or entry-level version of the Canon FTb for export markets. It is highly regarded as a sturdy, fully manual camera, making it ideal for beginners learning the fundamentals of exposure.

Lens Mount: It uses the Canon FD mount, providing access to a wide range of high-quality vintage lenses.

Metering: Features through-the-lens (TTL) center-weighted metering. It uses a match-needle system in the viewfinder for exposure adjustment.

Shutter: A mechanical focal-plane shutter with a top speed of 1/500 sec.

Flash: Unlike its predecessor, the Canon TLb, the TX includes a built-in hot shoe for flash synchronization.

The Lens

The camera in the image is paired with a Canon FD 50mm f/1.8 S.C. lens. This is a standard fast prime lens frequently bundled with this body
