Unlike conventional pond foods that feed at just one level, Up & Down provides food both on the surface and below the water.
The larger 6mm pellets remain on the surface, allowing you to watch your fish feed, while the 4.5mm pellets sink through the water for fish that prefer feeding deeper.
With an approximate combined 37% protein level, this is a nutritious, high-protein pond food suitable for supporting growth, condition and everyday nutrition.
Not every fish feeds in the same way.
Some koi and pond fish are confident surface feeders, while others can be more cautious and prefer taking food below the surface. A combination of floating and sinking pellets helps distribute food through different levels of the pond.
This makes Koi Up & Down particularly useful for ponds containing fish of different sizes, ages and feeding behaviours.

With a combination of 4.5mm and 6mm pellets, Koi Up & Down is particularly suited to medium and larger koi and pond fish.
As a general guide, we recommend it for fish from approximately 15cm / 6 inches upwards.
Larger koi can comfortably take both pellet sizes, while the combination is particularly useful in mixed ponds where some fish readily feed at the surface and others prefer to feed lower down.
Feed according to fish size, water temperature and activity levels. Offer only as much food as your fish will comfortably consume.
As approximately half of the food sinks, take care not to overfeed and avoid allowing uneaten pellets to accumulate on the bottom of the pond.
