In 1998, parents were in an uproar over this Barbie due to the tattoos on her stomach. Butterfly Art Barbie was soon banned and pulled from shelves from all major retailers making this doll VERY RARE, and hard to find.

This lots Includes both Barbie & Ken. There were only 7400 Barbies made before they were pulled off the shelf. Kens numbers could not be confirmed but we can assume even less for him.

The dolls are new in Box but the boxes have wear to them. Still this is a rare pair, another time Barbie was in the hotseat for all the Barbie Collectors to make sure are in their collection.
