British copper halfpenny dated 1806, issued during the reign of King George III.

Estimated grade: VF

The obverse features the laureate and draped portrait of George III. The reverse depicts Britannia seated, holding an olive branch and trident, with a shield bearing the Union flag beside her.

A pleasing circulated example with a clear date, strong portrait and well-defined Britannia. Much of the hair, laurel wreath, drapery and reverse detail remains visible. The coin has attractive dark-brown toning, together with scattered surface marks, small patches of discolouration and minor verdigris consistent with age.
