Joe Eaton was born in Hillgate, Stockport at the beginning of the 20th century. It was a district of working class housing since transformed by demolition and rebuilding. Hillgate itself was important as is used to be the main street of the town. This book provides a fascinating insight into the lives of Stockport people in the early part of the 20th century. With 9 fascinating b&w photos.
