A substantial vintage Praktica LTL 35mm SLR camera outfit, combining an East German Pentacon camera body with a desirable selection of lenses and accessories from both German and Japanese manufacturers.

The camera is a Praktica LTL, manufactured by Pentacon in the German Democratic Republic, and retains its fitted leather case and strap. This model belongs to the classic mechanical Praktica SLR family and uses the well-known screw-mount lens system associated with a wide range of vintage East German and international optics.

The primary lens supplied is a Carl Zeiss Jena DDR Tessar 2.8/50, serial number 9214638. The Tessar is one of the best-known Zeiss optical designs and became closely associated with compact, sharp standard lenses throughout the 20th century.

Also included is an Asahi Super-Macro-Takumar 1:4/50, serial number 3051016, made in Japan. This specialised 50 mm macro lens is accompanied by its original-style Takumar 4/50 case and a Soligor 49mm 1A Japan filter.

The outfit additionally includes a three-piece Aico Japan converter set, further expanding the practical and collector interest of the group.

The camera has received a basic mechanical check: the film advance winds and the shutter releases correctly. No full photographic test with film has been carried out, and meter accuracy, shutter speed calibration, aperture accuracy and optical performance have not been professionally tested.

Good vintage condition overall with age-related wear consistent with use and storage. The Praktica body appears clean and presentable, with surface marks and wear visible to the camera, leather case and straps. The camera winds and the shutter releases correctly during basic testing only. No film test has been carried out, and shutter speeds, exposure meter, light seals, aperture operation and optical performance have not been professionally checked. The Carl Zeiss Jena Tessar and Super-Macro-Takumar lenses appear externally clean, with no obvious fungus visible from the supplied inspection, although internal dust or other age-related optical imperfections may still be present and cannot be excluded. The loose black lens shows visible cosmetic wear and loss to the exterior finish in one area. Cases and accessories show normal vintage wear.
