2021 Topps Baseball Japan Edition puts an international spin on the year’s flagship release.

At its core, it’s a condensed version of the main set, shrinking the Series 1, Series 2 and Update Series checklists down from 990 total cards to just 220. The design is essentially the same as the flagship series with the most noticeable difference being the Japanese flag on the front. Backs are in English

Base parallels and print runs are different as well with Cherry Blossoms (/99), Jade Green (/75), Purple (/50), Gold (/25), Red (/5) and Platinum (1/1).

Inserts look at how MLB and Japan intersect. First, there are cards spotlighting Japanese players who have headed to North America. Other inserts delve into MLB festivities taking place in Japan.

Insert parallels include Gold (/25), Red (/5) and Platinum (1/1). There are also manufactured patch cards that have just ten copies each.

Autographs all have serial numbers, although quantities for base versions come with a wide range. Some have around 200 while others have less than two dozen. Theses are also available with their own Red (/5) and Platinum (1/1) parallels.
