The 350-card base set is a continuation from Series 1 and starts with card #351. It will include players who switched teams in the offseason, rookies who have taken the league by storm in the early part of the season, future stars, league leaders, and team cards.

Topps will again produce a large parallel rainbow for Series 2, bringing colors, rainbow reflection, and other patterns to all 350 base cards — many of which will be serial-numbered.

Golden Mirror image variations also make their return. These cards feature a gold Topps 75 logo on the front, as well as a golden reverse. The photos are alternate images, often away from the field.

The 1952 Topps Rookie Variations return for Series 2. Only select rookies from the base set will have these variations, and according to Topps, this is the only time these players will ever appear on the 1952 Topps design.

In addition to base variants, there are autographed versions — including rare red-ink versions (/5).

Several players from the 2025 World Series champion Los Angeles Dodgers will also be featured in a special set commemorating their championship.

Memorabilia cards will include City Connect Swatches and In The Name Relics, which are 1/1 cards from a player’s nameplate on the back of their jersey.

When it comes to the inserts in Series 2, collectors will find many of them are familiar.

The next slate of Stars Of MLB inserts will infiltrate retail versions of the product.

A new batch of players will also be featured on the 1991 Topps base and All-Star designs, as Topps celebrates the 35th anniversary of that set.

Home Field, a popular short-printed insert that includes imagery from a player’s home city in the background, will continue in Series 2.

All Aces, which put top pitchers into focus on a playing-card design, and Heavy Lumber, another beloved SP which features a wood-grain design, bring new slates of players onto continuing checklists.

Buybacks

To help celebrate the 75th anniversary of the brand, Topps will be including buyback cards throughout the 2026 flagship run, including Series 1, Series 2, and Topps Update. Most of the cards from the company’s Top 75 list will be included. Lucky collectors who find a redemption for one of these buybacks can exchange it for a PSA-graded version of the card.

Topps chases in Series 2 include a 1953 Topps Jackie Robinson and a 1954 Topps Henry Aaron rookie card.
