Offering a charming vintage figural covered butter dish made in Japan by Otagiri with a lid in the shape of a fat and happy (he is smiling) sleeping pig. The piece is handpainted. Glaze is smooth and shiny. No cracks, crazing or repairs. There are tiny rough spots on the tips of the ears, some spots and marks on the rim of the pig's underside, and some spots and marks on the top and bottom of the under plate. Perfect for a farmhouse or country home or kitchen.
