Appearance & Included Items:
This is an authentic Japanese Natsume (lacquered tea caddy) used in the Japanese tea ceremony (chado). It comes with its original signed wooden box (tomobako).
About the wooden box
This is a tomobako - a wooden box made for this piece, with the signature of the maker written on the lid. In Japan the box is not packaging; it is part of the object, and the signature is how the piece is identified. A piece that has lost its box is valued considerably lower than one that still has it.

No cracks and no chips.
The measurements were taken by hand, so please allow a tolerance of about 1 cm.
