This horn was a joy to play test. I was able to get the whole horn to play. I’m sure there are some minor leaks, but I didn’t sense them and had fun playing through some tunes.

Some pads look to be in decent shape, and some should probably be replaced. Currently, they are basically all doing their job.

The octave mechanism needs to be adjusted by a woodwind technician for it to truly be operating properly. On the neck, there is a spring that is supposed to make the pad go up-and-down the way it should. This spring is needing to be replaced.

Finally, while I was able to get the low notes to play, the left-hand pinky keys should be adjusted by a tech so they are not so stiff. Kind of being picky here.

This vintage horn is worth the effort!

The case is rather old, but it’s still secures the instrument reasonably well. We will ship this carefully and safely.
