Offering a rare and remarkable find from the estate of collectors: a superb, rarely seen and highly sought after Small Tortoise Bowl made by Steuben Glass in the Tortoise pattern designed by Ted Muehling. The Tortoise bowl collection has long been retired and is no longer made or sold by Steuben. This is not the "Mini" bowl. The piece measures 5" from end to end x 3 3/4" wide. Made of heavy, pure lead crystal. Muehling's design was inspired by the organic form of the tortoise shell.  The bowl has a hand-cut, hand-polished faceted exterior that mimics the shape of natural tortoise shells. It was Item #9062 in the Steuben catalogue.

The glass is in very good, clear condition with no chips, cracks, repairs or other damage. It has the etched Steuben signature on the bottom.
