Self-published by legendary horror illustrator Richard Corben, the first issue of Fantagor launched in 1970 as a magazine-sized fanzine before being reprinted in comic-book form by Last Gasp in 1971 (along with issues 3 and 4 in '72). Issue 2 was published by Rip Off Press. The fantasy series became an important early showcase for Corben’s distinctive mix of fantasy, horror, science fiction, and surreal humor. Fantagor is notable because it captures Corben before he became widely known for Den and his later work in Heavy Metal. The series helped establish the raw, muscular visual style and imaginative storytelling that would later define his career.

Overall condition of the lot is very good, with some wear around the book's corners and visible aging on the front cover of book #1. There are no missing pages, no rips or tears, nor written personalizations from past readers. Please observe posted images.
