Vintage Wild Heerbrugg M20 Binocular Laboratory Microscope – Switzerland

Pre-owned Wild Heerbrugg M20 microscope. I am not knowledgeable about microscopes, so I have performed only basic mechanical testing and am describing the functions I was able to verify.

The microscope is incomplete and does not include objective lenses or a power cord/power supply, so I was unable to perform a complete optical or electrical test. For this reason, it is being sold as-is under “For Parts or Not Working,” although it is not known to be completely nonfunctional.

Basic testing performed:

* Binocular head raises and lowers and stays in position.

* Eyepieces are removable; glass appears clear on visual inspection.

* Eyepiece/interpupillary adjustment operates.

* Large focusing controls move smoothly.

* Mechanical stage moves front-to-back.

* Circular/rotating stage rotates properly.

* Condenser/substage assembly raises and lowers.

* Condenser/optical element produced a visible moving area of light when checked using an external light source.

* Various mechanical adjustments and controls move as shown.

* One adjustment/lever rotates smoothly in one direction but is sticky when moved back and its function could not be verified.

* One inner stage-control knob turns but I could not determine what function it performs.

Not tested: built-in illumination/electrical operation or actual microscopic imaging due to the missing power supply and objective lenses.

Please note that I am not trained in microscope operation, so I cannot guarantee calibration, optical alignment, completeness, or functionality beyond the basic observations stated above.

Shows normal cosmetic wear from age and previous institutional/laboratory use, including scratches, scuffs, dust and marks. There is writing/identification information on the base. Please examine all photos closely for exact cosmetic condition and for everything included.

Only the microscope and components physically shown in the photographs are included. No additional lenses, power supply, cord, case, slides, or accessories are included.
