Model # 8049 – Blackmere | By Impact Cutlery

Only one knife made.

The Blackmere is an exceptionally distinctive handmade knife built around an unusual integral-forged Damascus constructionIts open-frame architecture allows the continuous Damascus structure to remain visible around the Ram Horn handle, turning the knife's method of construction into one of its most striking design elements.

Set within this sculptural Damascus frame is a beautifully shaped Ram Horn handle, predominantly deep black with contrasting natural cream-grey figuring. The combination of organic horn and flowing Damascus pattern gives Blackmere a dramatic character from every angle.

The broad Damascus blade displays pronounced flowing and concentric patterns that continue visibly through the integral frame, emphasizing the craftsmanship behind its one-piece construction.

You will receive the exact knife shown in the photographs.

Integral Forged Construction:

The outstanding feature of Blackmere is its integral-forged, seamless one-piece Damascus construction.

The blade, spine and surrounding open handle frame are formed as one continuous piece of forged Damascus steel without a separate joint between these structural sections.

This demanding construction creates remarkable visual continuity, with the Damascus pattern travelling from the blade along the full spine and around the exposed frame.

Handle:

A sculpted Ram Horn handle insert is fitted intricately within the open Damascus frame. Its predominantly black coloration is interrupted by naturally contrasting lighter streaks and markings, giving the horn considerable depth and individuality.

The curved profile complements the sweeping integral frame while leaving portions of the Damascus construction deliberately exposed.

Blade:

The broad blade is crafted from hand-forged Damascus steel, displaying an especially striking pattern of flowing lines, concentric formations and eye-like figures.

Its pronounced bevel geometry and pointed profile are complemented by the continuation of the Damascus pattern across the spine and integral frame.

Sheath:

A fitted brown leather sheath accompanies the knife. It features contrasting stitching, reinforced construction and Impact detailing near the opening.

Collector’s Value:

Blackmere stands apart through the complexity, intricate details, and visual impact of its integral-forged Damascus construction. Instead of concealing its structure beneath a conventional handle, the design deliberately exposes the continuous patterned-steel frame and pairs it with naturally figured Ram Horn.

The combination of a seamless one-piece Damascus structure, unusual open-frame architecture, individual Damascus pattern and Ram Horn makes this a particularly distinctive handmade collector's piece.

Only one Blackmere has been made. The photographs show the actual knife being offered, and you will receive this exact knife.
